Are you Ready for Xactimate Class?
Hi, I’m Sean. I’m conducting this Xactimate class.
This page will assist you in preparing for class BEFORE you join. There won’t be time to setup your laptop once class begins.
Please do not assume your computer is ready. If, after reviewing this page in its entirety, you have any questions , a contact email is at the bottom of this page.
See you in class!
Sean
What is Needed for Class
Stable internet connection
Computer with Xactimate installed and fully functional or access to the online version BEFORE joining class. (New Users: A free demo Xactimate is available through Xactware.)
Headset with mic (or built-in computer mic and speakers)
Webcam (Attendees desiring CE are required to have their webcam on during class presentation.)
Second screen/monitor (highly recommended)
Basically, you have three items to view during the class;
1. Xactimate on the Instructor’s computer
2. Your copy of Xactimate
3. The Digital Workbook
You can access all of these using one computer. However, it is very helpful to use multiple monitors to view them.
If you don’t have one or two additional monitors you can attach to your computer, perhaps you can use the screen of a second device, such as another laptop computer or an iPad or Android Tablet via the Mimeo Digital app. While you can split screens, it does become difficult if you only have one screen for everything.
To help, we’ve included some sample screen/device setups below. Ultimately, it’s what you’re most comfortable with. If you have any questions, our email is at the bottom of this webpage.
Sample setups;
SETUP #1 – Laptop + two monitors or Three Monitors
Screen #1: Your copy of Xactimate
Screen #2: Zoom session

SETUP #2 – Laptop + one monitor + iPad/Tablet
