Watermark, LLC (“Watermark”) respects your concerns about privacy. This Privacy Policy applies to personal information we collect on www.trainwatermark.com (the “Site”). We also describe the measures we take to protect the security of the information and how you can contact us about our privacy practices.

  • Payment information (processed by PayPal — we do not store payment card numbers)
  • Continuing education credentials, including adjuster license numbers and IICRC registration numbers, where required for CE credit reporting
  • Account login credentials (username and password)
  • Course enrollment and completion records
  • Communications you send to us by email or through our Site

2. Information Collected by Automated Means

When you visit the Site, we may collect certain information automatically using technologies such as cookies, web server logs, and web beacons. This may include:

  • Register you for your scheduled Zoom online class meeting
  • Send you registration confirmations, class preparation materials, and course-related communications
  • Issue certificates of completion
  • Report continuing education credits to the appropriate licensing board or certification body on your behalf
  • Respond to your inquiries and provide customer support
  • Send announcements about future courses and events (you may opt out at any time)
  • Operate, evaluate, and improve our business and offerings
  • Comply with applicable legal requirements
  • Protect against fraud and unauthorized activity

4. Information We Share

We do not sell or rent your personal information to third parties. We may share your information only as described below.

Zoom Video Communications — When you register for a live online class, your name and email address are transmitted to Zoom Video Communications, Inc. to create your unique meeting registration and join link. This transmission is required to provide you access to the class session. Zoom processes this information in accordance with their privacy policy at zoom.us/privacy.

PayPal — When you make a purchase, your billing information and transaction details are transmitted to PayPal for payment processing. We do not store your payment card information. PayPal’s privacy policy is available at paypal.com.

Google — We use Google Analytics to analyze Site usage and Google Ads for advertising and conversion tracking. Usage and interaction data may be shared with Google in connection with these services. Google’s privacy policy is available at policies.google.com/privacy.

State Departments of Insurance — If you register for a course approved for adjuster continuing education credit and elect to receive CE credit, we are required to report your name, adjuster license number, and course completion information directly to the Department of Insurance in the state(s) in which your adjuster license is held.

IICRC — If you register for a course approved for IICRC continuing education credit and elect to receive CE credit, we are required to report your name, IICRC registration number, and course completion information directly to the IICRC.

Legal and Compliance — We may disclose personal information if required by law or legal process, to law enforcement or government authorities, or when we believe disclosure is necessary to prevent physical harm, financial loss, or fraudulent or illegal activity.

Business Transfers — In the event of a sale, merger, or transfer of all or a portion of our business, we will use reasonable efforts to direct the transferee to use your personal information in a manner consistent with this Notice.

Service Providers — We may engage service providers who perform services on our behalf, such as website hosting and email delivery. These providers are not authorized to use or disclose your information except as necessary to perform services for us or as required by law.

5. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Notice, including maintaining your course access, satisfying continuing education recordkeeping requirements, and complying with applicable legal obligations. You may request deletion of your personal information at any time by contacting us as described in the Contact Us section below. Please note that certain information may be retained as required by law or for legitimate business purposes, such as CE compliance records.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access — request a copy of the personal information we hold about you
  • Correction — request that we correct inaccurate or incomplete information
  • Deletion — request that we delete your personal information, subject to applicable legal obligations
  • Opt out of marketing — unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the unsubscribe link in any marketing message, or by contacting us directly
